Back story: Saturday started the first day of December. This year it meant our family was getting its very first Elf on a Shelf {insert mother way way too excited for an Elf On The Shelf and a mother with way too many ideas…yeah me!). After sharing several pictures on Instagram and Twitter I saw a post on Facebook by The Momalog and then this happened…
As I began to do some research I discovered that The Momalog’s elfette’s infatuation for my elf Alejandro went beyond a simple crush. When I found this note that I realized the love they had for each other!

Mi Amante Noelle, Oh how long it has been since we have been together. I long for the days spent together just you and me. The times we spent together just you and I. We were two elves without a care in the world!!
Remember the days we spent sneaking and plotting our fun?
I remember our mischievous times often. They make me smile (and giggle) each time I think of them. Oh the fun we had!
Since we have parted it has simply not been the same. I now spend my days having new adventures and have thrown myself into my work. My new family is nice enough. They make me giggle and find joy in having me in their home. Yet my longing for you leaves my heart aching. Nothing quite completes me like being with you did!
OMG, our worst suspicions have come true and it is a fated and doomed love affair between our two elves!

SO adorable. We love our Elf! Our daughter doesn’t dare touch him because he might lose his magic.

I am so happy you enjoyed this. It really has been fun… the Elf On The Shelf and writing this post. I can not promise they will get back together, but I am pretty sure you have not heard the end of this. Oh and you mentioning this post compared to Kir’s writing…WOW! I don’t think it is even in the same ballpark but seriously Kir just became a comparison!!!!
Confession—I am secretly jealous of all the Elf on the Shelf fun. I’d buy one to set up for Brian, but he says they’re creepy. Le sigh.

Yeah, my hubs thinks he is creepy too! I just had to get one. Too much fun not to try at least one year. I some how have a feeling that this year will be the easy year. The following years I actually have to top this year!!
Poor heartbroken Alejandro! Maybe he and Noelle can go on vacation together in January. If that doesn’t work they’ll always have Christmas. 😉 So, I told our elf Buddy about Alejandro’s plight and he would be happy to take him to the Dogfish Head Alehouse where he can drown his sorrows with a mug of Peppermint Schnapps laden hot chocolate or Bailey’s Irish Cream.
I know Alejandro still misses Noelle deeply. He is still busy working hard and trying to forget!

OH Alejandro is quite a handful!!! The things he thinks of. Every once in awhile I have to have a talk with him and remind him he has to set a good example… I think it is so much fun for him he can’t resist!
